Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I have to be an experienced gardener to join in?
A: All levels of experience are welcome! We're here to help you: even if you've never planted a single seed. Even if you kill your houseplants. You can do this and we'll be here to help you every step of the way, sharing growing guides, newsletters and video tutorials chock full of helpful tips and tricks!
Q: Can I be a flower farmer or florist and still participate in the mission?
A: Absolutely yes! We have hundreds of team members who also have flower-based businesses. We know you have a big heart for serving your community and we can’t wait to cheer for you! If you’re a flower farm or florist, we simply ask that when you donate flowers with the Growing Kindness bouquet tag, that they’re truly freely given without expectation of future sales or used to promote sales for your business.
Q: I live in the city and only have a balcony with flower pots. Can I become a Growing Kindness Gardener?
A: Yes! The beauty of this project is that we start where we can, use what we have and do what we can. A few pots on a balcony can grow handfuls of beautiful blooms. You've got a big heart, you just need a little bit of dirt!
Q: Can I become a member if I don’t live in the US?
A: Yes! We are now a global team, reaching communities in tiny towns and big cities all across the world! All of our resources are available digitally, so you can connect and be supported from any country.
Q: When can I join?
A: Join us today! Our Gardener membership is open March 8th - 22nd 2024, and will reopen again on June 3rd -10th 2024.
