Kate Stoner
Kate Stoner founded Cold Water Flowers in 2018 in south central Pennsylvania (or Zone 6B for all you garden lovers!). She specializes in cultivating dahlias specifically for the use of cut flowers and tuber production. Her blooms are available for sale from May until frost (usually mid October).
What Kate loves most about owning and operating a flower farm is having a connection to the earth and an opportunity to share that love with others. Her very first garden consisted of an abundance of vegetables. The garden not only harvested a delicious crop, but it also generated the softest buttery topsoil she had ever had the pleasure to put her hands in! Kate often welcomes visitors to her farm so they can experience the magic of flowers. She feels grateful to offer what feels like a relaxing sensory spa experience as they wander through her flower fields.
Most recently, Kate has been experimenting with other aspects of flower farming to diversify and expand her market. Namely, dried flowers and fresh eucalyptus.
When not on the farm, Kate enjoys a career in the animal welfare industry. She has a bachelor degree from Penn State, and is a proud sister, cat-mom and wife.
