Deanna Kitchen
Hello! I’m Deanna, founder of the Growing Kindness Project. And this is my precious family. Together, we run a little farm and started this mission of sharing flowers with others.
Growing up, I just assumed my deep desire to connect with people and find ways to create community was just the by product of being born and raised in a town so small it only had one stop light. But I’ve come to realize it’s the very fiber of who I am. I suppose that’s really how this project started: flowers provided a real, tangible way to find connection and build community.
I’m married to my high school love (true story, we met in 4H at the county fair) and raising our three amazing boys on a farm is exactly what we always dreamed about. Twig and Vine Farm is home to hundreds of dahlias, a small flock of sheep, a handful of chickens, one crazy farm pup, and more tree forts than you can count. While we’re considered a “micro scale” cut flower farm, the dreams we have for how we use this place to cultivate community and connection are mighty.
